Welcome to the Savvy Kickstarter Program application. This program helps you launch a career in the video game industry through hands-on training, including opportunities to work and learn in partner studios.

You’ll build both technical and soft skills, with the goal of securing a full-time entry-level role upon graduation. The below opening is for a UI/UX Design Intern at Spoilz — full-time, paid, and based in Riyadh. The internship runs from September 1st, 2026 to March 28th, 2027.

Submit a portfolio that clearly demonstrates your UI/UX design skills, user-centered thinking, and attention to detail. Include projects you are most proud of that showcase your design process—such as research, wireframes, prototypes, and final interfaces—and use sound judgment in how you present and organize your work. Provide accessible links to case studies or interactive prototypes (no passwords), and clearly explain your role, decisions, and iterations. This is your opportunity to show how you approach problems and design intuitive, engaging experiences.

Submit a video cover letter. It must be 2 minutes (±15 seconds), with you facing the camera against a neutral background. In your video, you are required to: 1) briefly state your full name; 2) explain why you want to work in the gaming industry; and 3) describe what you can bring to the industry. Ensure you address all three points and stay within the time limit (between 1'45'' and 2'15''). Keep it natural and authentic—no need to overthink it. If your file size is too large, you may use any free online tool to compress it before submission.

Design the UI/UX for a new feature or game mode in your favorite mobile game (e.g., event system, progression screen, shop flow, or onboarding improvement). The feature must fit the game’s style and audience while solving a clear user problem or improving engagement—no cosmetic-only ideas. Your deliverable is a concise UI/UX case document (2–4 pages max) that includes: problem definition, user flow, low- to mid-fidelity wireframes for key screens, interaction details (states, transitions, feedback), and a brief rationale explaining your decisions and trade-offs. You must also show consistency with the game’s visual language (layout, hierarchy, readability). Use of generative AI is allowed, but unrefined AI-generated content or submissions that feel templated and indistinguishable from other applicants will be disqualified.
