Kickstarter - Nomadroid - 3D Modeling Intern

Welcome to the Savvy Kickstarter Program application. This program helps you launch a career in the video game industry through hands-on training, including opportunities to work and learn in partner studios.

You’ll build both technical and soft skills, with the goal of securing a full-time entry-level role upon graduation. The below opening is for a 3D Modeling Intern at Nomadroid — full-time, paid, and based online in KSA. The internship runs from September 1st, 2026 to March 28th, 2027.

Submit a portfolio that demonstrates your 3D modeling skills, technical accuracy, and attention to detail. Include work you are most proud of—such as props, environments, or characters—and show wireframes, topology, UVs, and textures where relevant. Organize your work clearly, provide accessible links to renders or turntables (no passwords), and explain your role and process. Focus on quality over quantity.

Submit a video cover letter. It must be 2 minutes (±15 seconds), with you facing the camera against a neutral background. In your video, you are required to: 1) briefly state your full name; 2) explain why you want to work in the gaming industry; and 3) describe what you can bring to the industry. Ensure you address all three points and stay within the time limit (between 1'45'' and 2'15''). Keep it natural and authentic—no need to overthink it. If your file size is too large, you may use any free online tool to compress it before submission.

Create a stylized 3D prop set and a small environment inspired by your favorite mobile game, ensuring both clearly belong to the same world (consistent shapes, materials, and visual language). Focus on a secondary or background setting (e.g., a shop corner, campsite, or small gameplay area) and props that support its function and story. Your deliverable is a concise presentation (2–3 pages max) including: final renders of the environment, close-ups of key props, and supporting breakdowns (wireframes, topology, UVs, and textures). Include a simple lighting setup that enhances mood and readability. Prioritize clean topology, efficient asset creation, and strong stylistic consistency over unnecessary complexity. Use of generative AI is allowed, but unrefined AI-generated content or submissions that feel templated and indistinguishable from other applicants will be disqualified.
